I remember what it was like trying to learn my medical sciences...
Honestly, it can be pretty overwhelming. There's a mountain of content to learn, and it can be difficult to piece together a coherent understanding without spending hours and hours studying.
This is especially so if you've studied at a university or similar institution, where world experts lecture at you as if you already know everything. And you are left with a collection of crumbs and fun facts that don't build up to any unified understanding.
It is like the story of the blind men describing the elephant. You can learn the details of the hairs on the tail, or the scaly skin of the trunk. But who will come and show you the elephant itself?
I'm Dr. Otto, a medical doctor practicing in Sydney, Australia. I have taught countless medical students over the years, and I want to show you the elephant. I believe learning should be:
